I use these powered monitors, each with a 15″ speaker and a horn, for all guitar synth/looping gigs. It reproduces all of the sounds from the synth, the looper, the piezo output of my electric, bass pedals, etc. I also use it for electric guitar sounds, and use the Boss GT-Pro to model the signal path.
I could bring out genuine guitar amps for the ‘regular’ guitar, but that is more for me to bring- plus, I really need the sound to come from the same speaker.
I use this setup solo or with a band, and it sounds huge.

Hi, I am trying (unsuccessfully) to go from the GT-Pro XLR outputs into Mackie monitor speakers. I thought it would just be a matter of plugging it in? Is there a setting on the GT-Pro I need to alter?
thanks
phil
Hmmm…lets see. Make sure your Mackie speakers are powered. You can also go GT-Pro>Mixer>Powered speakers. There should be a global setting for this on the GT-Pro as well…good luck!
